Playing with the onscreen controlls will be easier than this I think, especially with the large screens of the new Omnia devices

but i think it will be nice to have this kind of feature, and to give some use to the touchpad, i900 has a small screen compared to other devices.changing subject is there any way to make the i900 camcorder to take not so horrible choppy videos?

My i900 is still running WinMo 6.1, mayba a 6.5 cooked rom would do better, the video recorded with my i900 has always been choppy too

Easy, turn the resolution to 320x240

The i900 only promised 15fps for 640x480, so we cannot expect much. It is rather the jagged edges that bother me, as it doesn't look like a video with 640x480 resolution, a 320x240 video enlarged will have less jagged edges despite a bit blur due to the enlargement.

Don't worry, Samsung did not manage to fix that in Omnia 2, the 720x480 videos have the same jagged edges problem.

video recording really sucks in omnia, and yes 320x240 videos are smoother but still choppy sometimes, i dont know how a dumb phone like nokia 5610 expressmusic can take 640x480 amazing and smooth videos, and omnia not. im sure if someone with great programming skills can hack the camera program it would be possible to get better fps. but it looks like no one was/is insterested in doing this.

i belive its because nokia use carl zeiss lens in most of there phones

Even the TG01 and its 3.2 MP can do smooth 640x480 when the i900 and its 5mp can't !

At least, the i900 has a really good camera for photos and very good setting possibilities (its night photos are sometimes better than my real 12mp camera...what the hell did they do with the video?!)

photos are great, you just need to play with the settings and you can get really good looking photos, ive find some tips from modaco user daskalos:

The trick is experiment with the camera's setting:

-if you want more vibrant colors adjust the
saturation

-if you want more detail adjust the sharpnesss

-if you want to intensify or soften shades adjust
the contrast

-if light is not enough adjust brightness

-if your hand is shaky activate anti-shake

-Wait the camera to have a focus before
taking a shot

-Wipe lens free of dirt and finger marks

-Dont take pictures against the light source

When using flash,dont directly shot on a reflective
surface (even white surfaces and nearby
objects reflect light to the lens).
Angle correctly.

Now here's the trick to avoid those "white wash-out" pictures when using the flash on taking photos with a close
range

If your taking a close up pic of an object in the dark
Here are the settings:

Focus:On
ISO:50
Sharpness: Default or +1
Brightness: Default or +1

ISO sets the amount of light exposure, by lessening it's light sensitivity (adjusting it to 50) "white wash effect" is avoided. For
some reasons the auto setting in the ISO doesn't lower the value to 50 when taking pics at close range resulting from pics with over saturated light (white wash)

the above tips are working, just try it, the video capture seems like a software issue to me. but its sad that samsung hasnt realeased an update or something to fix that.

just found this wonderful application...
but i have some doubt... hope can get it clear...

What is the "bios images". Is this the Play Station driver?
Correct me if i were wrong.
BTW i found many PSX, PS1, PS2 BIOS in the internet. which i should i use?

What is the processor version for omnia II? Which 1 should i select?
Is this "dengerous" if i select the wrong version?
