Post Spyro 2 crashing (protected game)
Can someone explain me how this protection stuff is working?

I try to play Spyro 2, but when I reach certain area of the game, it crash.
It seems it's a known problem about the game that is caused by a protection that is in all "recent" PSX games.

I have tried to remove the protection with ppf-o-matic, everything seems to work... except it has not solved my problem at all.
What I've done wrong?

on ICS xperia play gives very good results with OpenGL. sometimes you need to switch Framskip, but animation is still very good.

I have tried with OpenGL, the problem is the same.
When I get to this level, the game crash with an error mesage like "the game has crashed (no shit Sherlock!) blablabla...".

And by the way, on my Xperia play, games are really unplayable with OpenGL, even with framskip. But maybe I'm doing something wrong with that.

I bump this because everytime there's a new update, I try Spyro 2 and 3 (both are protected) hopping this problem to be fixed, but it's still the same.

Do you have plan to fix this? These games are two of the best on PSX, it's a shame they don't work.

That's strange, as I remember 100% completion of Spyro 3 on FPse a long time ago.
But now FPse can read subchannel data from images, so it should work
