 Re: v0.1 Xperia performance
CloudStrife86 wrote: I'm trying to reinstall the stock Xperia R3A ROM, but I'm having some issues.
The file I downloaded is called "APP_SW_X1i_GENERIC_UK_CDF1215-1832_KOV_R3AA010.exe" and when I run that exe on my computer it extracts another file: "APP_SW_X1i_GENERIC_UK_CDF1215-1832_KOV_R3AA010.image" to the desktop.
Every other time I've installed a ROM, I've used a .nbh file: "ruu_signed.nbh", renamed it to "Kovsimg.nbh" and place it on my SD card. I then enter bootloader and let it install from there. I don't think the same thing will work with this file, so if anyone has any tips, I'd appreciate it. Have a visit to xda-developers. Its my no1 source for roms, fixes, updates, program and new ports and developments. Re: v0.1 Xperia performance
I got that file from xda-devs. From this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=475482I'm going to try the SE update software (providing it runs on Wine).

 Re: v0.1 Xperia performance
did you run a benchmark before and after you installed that cab? I don't advice people to overclock their device for running an emulator. If they aren't careful they will destroy their device...they'd better sell their device and buy any faster.

 Re: v0.1 Xperia performance
I've figured it out... Apparently just renaming .image to .nbh doesn't work, and you need to use NBHUtil to convert it. I'm doing that now, so I should have a stock ROM installed within the hour.

Azerty16 wrote: Ok i hope you have better result. I do indeed... I'm trying everything again. FFVII is full speed again, in portrait. It has a good average of 45 fps in landscape (not in battle). In battle, it's 40-odd fps in portrait and 30-ish in landscape. I just whacked the battle speed way up in the in-game config though, and you don't notice the difference. Castlevania runs full speed with frameskip set to 2 (if I remember correctly). GT2 is still slow, at about 20-25 fps with no frameskip. I haven't checked to see if the GameID matches the one in "gamelist.ini" though, so we'll see what happens there. I haven't tried MGS since Schtruck told me to use SPUsync. I'm also yet to try Tekken 3 again, but I assume it'll be similar to GT2. If anyone has any specific game you want me to try, tell me and I'll compile a list. Same for any cooked ROMs, but only if they run WinMo 6.1, 'cause 6.5 is waaaaay slow for me Anyway, laters.
