This word force world to go crazy... :|

Yep, that and corrupted politicians. You can't found job here unless you have really good connections (which I obviously don't).

Hell yeah that was a great times

That's cool. I remember the time when I was young and ambitious; I wanted to make emulator of Orao 32 (old school computer based on 8 bit 6502 CPU) but eventually lost interest in programming that kind of stuff... My programming language in that time was Turbo Pascal (standard high scool programming language) ;)

On Pascal? Man you're crazy!
Yeah we study it in high school. It was my second programming language. The first was VBasic. After Pascal I found Delphi. Some people think that its a "bad" one... maybe...maybe but I really cant "migrate" from it to C for example :D

In high school we had some C++, then in college I had some Visual Basic .NET, HTML, a little bit of Oracle, and a touch of AS400.

Hmm... I never had any programming classes in school. I did one year at Uni learning C++, html and java, but I got really bored really quickly, so I can only do basic coding. I changed my course after the first year to Forensic Science instead, and I have to say it is sooooo much more enjoyable and suitable to me. I have recently bought some "teach yourself C++" books though, as I quite fancy getting back into it.

Computer science (programming) to Forensic science is a really big change.

I got bored with programming as well which is why I went for the hardware and software support side. It fits me really well and what I'm supposed to be doing right now ;)

I work with a local police force as part of their scientific support staff, but I'm only classed as a trainee, even though I have a degree, so I also work part-time for Currys (electrical retailer) to help pay the bills. Hopefully that won't be the case for much longer, when they finally let me past my probational period. :?

Hi folks,

I'm old compared to most of you!
I grew up on the spectrum and comodore pet and 64. I learnt basic programing in school and college (scottish schools, so fairly advanced for the time), after a number of jobs, I eventually went to Univerity to study computers (BSC in computer science).
I've had a varied work history from sheparding sheep on a farm (wicked lifestile! but no money and long hours in the cold weather!), furniture restoration, security, Off Licence manager, retail management including "Toys R Us" and "Nike", To my current job of a telecoms support engineer for a software house in the UK. "JOATMON" is a fair description "Jack of All Trades, Master of none!"
I have 2 boys currently 14 and 17, both of which have aquired my taste in games whilst growing up, I'm into the FF series and the like. I've played most platforms, the games that still haunt me most despite completing them 4 or 5 times are FF7 & 8.

I've recently aquired an HTC HD2 and want to push the limit, I love the idea of FF running slick on the HTC HD2. I've had them running on my eeepc 901, under a tweeked Linux flavor of eeepc netbook remix with psx emulation without any issues. (p.s Best thing you can do is dump xandros asap!)

Guess thats it...

Oh My GF does not like Sci-Fi, but is learning to live with my and the boys love of it..
Books: Heinlin Rocks!!
Music: Anything goes, but not keen on Rap or Hip Hop, prefer rock/pop rock and hot looking chicks, sorry, I mean ladies...

;)
