Autofire gets stuck, and is also too slow

Bug:
When you toggle autofire on and off sometimes the button gets stuck in a down state. You have to toggle autofire on and off a few times till the button is left in an up state. Please make the key get reset to up when autofire it toggled off.
Autofire speed options are Normal, Fast, and Very Fast.
Even on Very Fast I can still mash faster. Can we get a speed slider to set the speed rate manually?
Or can we get a VERY VERY VERY FAST setting?
Example game:
Legend of Dragoon. When you throw a spell you mash X the charge the spell. The charge can range from 10 - 264. With the autofire set to Very Fast. the spell strength hardly gets to 110. Where I can mash with my fingers to 220.
