create/edit codes crash

Hello, i just downloaded this emulator a few days ago works perfect, amazing well worth it. I was very suprised when i got on and started playing ff7 and went to cheats and it dowloaded 200 cheats on its own im used manually inputting cheats. Although, alot of them are item modification cheats, when i try to use them it replaces the current item in that position with a potion...:/ and the big problem im having, is when i create/edit cheats it freezes cant do anything, in fact, i must go to settings apps and force close it to restart it. I would like to put in some different cheats without messing everything up. Any help?
