Basic explanation of various settings for Android?

 Basic explanation of various settings for Android? Is there a document or thread that goes over the various System, Audio, Video, etc settings in the Android version, and what each setting does?
I see things like Boost, Skipfix, Framelimiter and Frameskip, and while I can figure out what some of them mean just by their name, it'd be nice for an explanation.
Sorry if it's somewhere obvious, but I'm having trouble finding this info.

Re: Basic explanation of various settings for Android? Better information is needed for the video settings. The FAQ does not do a good job. Why is there not a more detailed FAQ thread here? Can someone please explain the video settings?
