Ok some news.

I have worked on timing and discovered some bug and improved timing emulation which make FPSE running smoother.

Next I found a bug in audio layer which made audio improvement of the two last version not well working.

Now it s working like a charm. I ll post an update maybe within 48 hours.

Hello.

I have some problems with Front Mission 3.
The game is crashes very often. With message FPSE has exited.. or just freezes and crashes to desktop
This is happen only when the battle scenes rendering begins.
In tactical map everything is ok. Cutscenes is ok. Only battle scenes.
But some times i can play the game without problem hour or more. Some times it crash on first battle scene
Tried all video modes and all combination of settings. no luck.
Any advices maybe?

I just pushed a Beta for all beta testers,

FPse 0.11.175:
- Improved timing, FPse run much better, and fix somes games
- Improved covers menu animation, much smoother
- Added new Multiplayer Internet playing mode
- Added Floating menu button for devices without Hw buttons
- Added full game descriptions with controls descriptions, tips and more for all games!
- Fixed Change disc feature, SD Gundam Generation
- Fixed Covers game search feature
- Many other fixes

I fixed many problems , including the click in sound which appreared in last version because a sync parameters was off by default. Going to video menu and back to game fix this problem.

The new timing make many game running much better and more smoothly

Another incredible feature is game description, check and see when you are in game

Another cool feature is the new multiplayer internet mode, no need to manage IP etc… just run a game in server mode and any client will be able to see your server by just choosing Player 2 mode and if he has the game he’ll be able to play against/or with you to this game. Latency is important, 20ms is the best, but tested with someone at 50ms and it was good

You’ll see the grid cover menu and the list cover menu are incredibly smooth now when scrolling. Emu is lighter in term of Memory footprint.

Enjoy, and don’t forget to report good or bad things.

You're not beta tester and want to test this new version, just ask by email.

Just a quick note

FPse does not scan storage automatically every time you load it but just the first time . if you want to update list go to menu then search automatically for games

Actually if you remove manually a game fpse will still show it in the list so search another time from menu to updates games list or if you press on a game deleted or moved FPse will crash. I ll add a check here for the next version.

Hey Schtruck,

Everything new is great. Good job on the new features and improvements!

One thing I notice though is FPSE has these hickups. Meaning, the frame rate halts/drops every 10~20 seconds, for no apparent reason. I can just load into a game and not move, and every 10~20 sec the sound and image pops/stops for ~< a second. Is it RAM/garbage cleanup? Is it loading something? What is this?

Also, loading in assets seams to cause a hickup in emulation as well. Meaning, whenever you do move and some new asset needs to be loaded before displaying, the sound and video pops/stops till it has loaded in, it seams.

I'm still using my HTC ONE Max and it has been this way for several updates now. I keep my phone clean and close everything else when running FPSE. Also I don't even have phone service on it. I don't remember it always being this way, not even way back when I had an HTC EVO 4G.

So, what is it that is happening to cause emulation to come to a halt for other things to be done in the background, and/or loaded in?

Thanks bud,
Jay 8-)
