PROBLEM WITH THE GRINCH

Hi, Ive recently downloaded the grinch, ive notice that I cant hold on to the edge once I jump.I dont know why.. ive played this game before on ps1 console and I know how the game goes. Anyone encounter the same problem as me? I really need help
