I read that an alternative to frameskip is the overclock option to increase fps,
but every time I turn overclock on it crashes fpsece, I have tried different gfx drivers but still crash.

I have latest supporter ver.
Omnia II gt i8000l stock rom.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try again not to overclock that much, turn down the frequency. Sometimes when overclocked too much, certain applications don't work, but others still works, so it gives you the impression only those applications crash but actually it is because of the overclock.
