hi. recently found this app for my phone and thought id try to play gran turismo which i had forgot to sell with the rest of my old games. after struggling with the trial version i eventually got it to load the game and it seemed to run smoothly. i even crashed a few times in a race and watched the replay back. all seemed smooth. got the supporter version as it looked a lot more polished and the interface seems so much better to use. problem is i couldnt find my gt image file anywhere. so i uninstalled everything, including the images and reinstalled the lot. putting the image files in the bios folder for fpsece (only place it seems to work from)

now the program loads. i can see the image, tap it, the sony entertainment logo appears, then the warning about the cars in the game, then a blank screen............ nothing!

ive played with the drivers tab and a few others but cant seem to get it to go any further than the opening credits. ive followed the installation instructions to a tee as i had it working on the trial version. i did everything the same for the re-install but its a no go. anyone got any ideas? many thanks

soooo.....

remove your game from the bios folder, and place a bios SCPH1001.bin inside this folder!!!! (that's the reason for your crash I assume)

Then when you start FpseCE, what you see (with CANCEL at the top right) is a file explorer!!!!
You must browse until the folder where you have your game iso

sorry. should probably have mentioned that i have already got a bios .bin file in there. the program loaded from it before i put the game on my sd card. ive tried the game image from the bios folder and in the fpsece folder on the card and it does exactly the same thing.

im almost certain that the iso is a good one as its the exact one i ripped using pocket iso and used in the trial version and that worked fine. ive tried uninstalling everything and using another guide on here suggesting that i dont use the trial and install the core 1st. then the fpsece cab, then the skin. loading in my bios and then the game image. this didnt work either and gave the same results.

so where do i go from here?

What BIOS do you have in the BIOS folder?

Also the game image file doesn't need to be in the fpsece folder. Anywhere on your SD card is fine. Like frenchaddict said, fpsece starts up with a file explorer so you can find your game files.

You could compress and post your fpse.ini file here. If you can, try another game aswell.

If possible, paste here FpseCE log file (file called fpselog.txt in the root of your device).

im using a SCPH1001.bin. not sure that is the problem. as its the exact same one i used with the trial version and it worked.

as for the image files they seem temperamental. you say place them anywhere on the sd card. i tried that first. couldnt find them. placing them in the fpsece folder is the only place i can see them when the program loads

trying another game isnt really an option as GT is the only one i own at the moment.

im reinstalling everything again. then i'll post up the log

maybe useless questions, but ....
have you tried to delete every file from the CFG folder of fpsece?
Have you modified the something into the gamelist file, especially the paragraph about Gran Turismo?

since ripping the game disc and compressing it ive not modified any file name. ive just tried deleting the two files i had in the CFG folder. one was a gt config file and the other was a readme. made no difference to the loading. after the splash screen and the gt credits disappear i get this skipping noise with a blank screen. sounds similar to a cd skipping but a much faster sound.

anyone know why this still doesnt work?

Just try another games (just download them and try, you dont have to use them afterwards). Also have you compressed the ISO right? Have you tried to use uncompressed image?
