Re: Fpse for Android Discussion/Feedback

I was actually pretty shocked to find out that the dithering used is just like the one used in the psone which is so so much cleaner than the one from other psx emus

Re: Fpse for Android Discussion/Feedback

Feedback on Fpse's Dithering: I am very impressed by the dithering found in Fpse.Compared to the dithering in both the pc and android versions of epsxe,it is clear that the dithering in Fpse is the most superior and most accurate. Unfortunately just like epsxe, fpse fails to dither a lot of spots tha...

Re: Fpse for Android Discussion/Feedback

Thanks but i'd rather wait for a proper release instead of becoming a tester.Could you post some screenshots(with filtering off ) of dithering though?I am really curious how accurate fpse's dithering is

Thank you

Re: Graphics - Dithering, Anti-Aliasing, up-scaling, shaders

@schtruck,a color banding shader is very neat but it is good to know that dithering does not only remove color banding but it also applies some kind of shading on some textures and make some graphical effects much more visible(like the cloud in FF8,there is another comparison pic that I will be post...

Re: Graphics - Dithering, Anti-Aliasing, up-scaling, shaders

how ironic

PPSSPP's opengl rendering is so much faster than that on FPSE

Pretty ironic considering the psp is a much powerful and much complex console compared to the PSX

hopefully, opengl 2 will make fpse faster than ppsspp

Re: Graphics - Dithering, Anti-Aliasing, up-scaling, shaders

^no it must not

Games like tekken 3 already have a native resolution o more or less 640x480

THE PROPER NAME SHOULD BE DOWNSCALE RESOLUTION or Force 320x240 or something

Re: Graphics - Dithering, Anti-Aliasing, up-scaling, shaders

about the boost hi-res thingy, that is what it is actually supposed to do. The boost hi res option's function is downscale everything that is rendered in a resolution greater than 320x240 in order to gain speed. The psx boot logo is rendered at 640x480(at least that is what I know) using the boost hi...
