try to reset settings from fpse advanced settings menu then system and restart fpse then run a game , and once your pad is connected map all unmapped button from gamepad settings menu and assign menu for controller 1

I took a look and the internal compression system of fpse is far better, it use a high level of compression .

Have you tested the compression feature available from fpse?
